Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA - 2000)
The Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification shows that you have the skills to successfully implement, manage, and troubleshoot the ongoing needs of Microsoft Windows® 2000-based platforms. This certification can be looked at as the stepping-stone between the MCP certification and the MCSE certification. MCSA candidates are required to pass three core exams and one elective exam. For information on MCSA electives, please view the elective courses down below. To see an entire list of available MCSA electives, go to Microsoft's website.
Candidates of MCSA 2000 have the option to test with Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional/Windows .NET Server exams or a combination of both for a total of three core operating system exams.
