Microsoft Certified Systems
Administrator (MCSA - 2000) The Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
(MCSA) certification shows that you have the skills to successfully
implement, manage, and troubleshoot the ongoing needs of Microsoft
Windows® 2000-based platforms. This certification can be looked
at as the stepping-stone between the MCP certification and the MCSE
certification. MCSA candidates are required to pass three core exams
and one elective exam. For information on MCSA electives, please

Candidates of MCSA 2000 have the option to test with Windows 2000
or Windows XP Professional/Windows .NET Server exams or a combination
of both for a total of three core operating system exams.
